This course/module is designed to explore Quality Control and Improvement in the health area as well as to provide the underlying principles and techniques of Total Quality Management (TQM) with emphasis on their application to health care organizations.
Course/Module Objectives:
The main objectives of the course are:
- To define key concepts of quality in Health care organizations
- To describe the different dimensions in quality improvement in Health care organizations.
Course/Module Learning Outcomes:
After completion of the course students are expected to be able:
- To develop a strategy for implementing quality control and improvement in health care organization
- To identify the key aspects of the quality improvement cycle
- To select and use appropriate tools and techniques for controlling, improving and measuring quality control and improvement in health care organizations.
